Who is Christie?
Christie Wild took up complementary medicine later in life, after seeing the extraordinary benefits it had for her son and, later on, for her own life. She was astounded at the transformation that can take place if you commit to change and have the correct help through that process.
Christie has had many amazing jobs including delivering yachts across the mediterranean, working in Antarctica, and geophysical work around remote fijian islands. She has also worked in corporate management, sales, scientific research, managed her own outdoor adventure /corporate training company, and has experienced her fair share of “life issues”. Consequently she has a unique understanding of the stresses and demands of the corporate world, the pain and frustration of sporting injuries, and the challenges created by life, work and relationships.
Becoming qualified in RTT Hypnotherapy, Holistic Kinesiology, Mind Body Medicine and NST Bowen Therapy, was a logical progression from her previous careers, in order to find a better way to facilitate healing and assist personal growth and development in the people she met.
Christie is also experienced in both teen and mid-life crisis counselling, including anxiety, depression, issues of self harm, relationship issues, and menopause. She is also a lecturer at the College of Complementary Medicine.
As Christie says…..“People shouldn’t have to live with pain, either physical or emotional, if there is help available. Life can throw many things at us, we make mistakes, and we suffer, but there is help. One of the joys of age and experience, is that I have lived through many moments of pain, fear, loss, betrayal, sick kids, stress and corporate politics. Through this I have gained a real understanding of, and sympathy with, other people’s life journeys. I love being able to assist people along that journey,…in mind, body or spirit.
I believe that people need someone who is professional, but who is also prepared to be real, to be human and who genuinely cares about them. I want to hear your story, what matters to you, and to create a place where you feel safe to be and say whatever you need to. My clinic has seen many tears, much laughter (often in the same session!) and lots of transformed lives. My goal is that clients become so healthy, happy, fulfilled that they don’t “need” me anymore, though they often come back for a massage, chat and NST session!”

We use Integrated Complementary Medicine to help the body to heal itself.
When mind, body and spirit are working together, healing can happen.
Facilitating healing to happen, on all levels, is what we are all about!
It’s about:- healing bodies, freeing minds and transforming lives.
Core-Connections is about healing…..on many levels. The uniqueness of what Christie does, is that not only can she help with self confidence, weight loss or release tightness from a sore shoulder but she can also look at all the inter-connected aspects of an issue. For instance, anxiety could stem from a childhood fright, that has led to a lack of self confidence, which led to poor lifestyle choices, and to a sore shoulder from holding that tension in the body. All aspects of this can be handled separately and together, so that you gain unique insights, and healing from your condition. We don’t just look at symptoms, we release the cause of them so that healing lasts..
Just as an aside, we chose specifically to have the clinic looking out onto the bush because we felt that the peace of the bush outlook can be part of that healing process, irrelevant of whether you have a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual ailment.
Old Celtic traditions believe that there are thin places in the world where the physical and spiritual are very close,…earth and heaven touch. In a thin place there is an immediacy of experience where simple words or actions can become insights to life. For the Celts, these thin places were always linked with nature. Some people say that just coming to our clinic can be a healing adventure in itself!
